Journey In Faith

The format for the Journey In Faith program offers the children who have not yet received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist, an opportunity to come together and share in the Good News of Jesus Christ. This program differs from the year long school programs in that the material and discussions focus specifically on preparing for the reception of these sacraments.

The parents of the children who will be receiving the sacraments at the Easter Vigil also attend each session. The format includes family prayer and then we separate for Catechesis. The parents come together to share their own faith journeys, they learn about the process that their children will be going through as well as affirming their own faith commitments.

Together we form a community of believers who share their stories and traditions, discuss the traditions of the Catholic Church, unfold the mysteries for each of us that is found in scripture, and attempt to decipher how to maneuver through our days as we work toward addressing some of the more contemporary issues in our world.

We ask that you pray for these families as they undertake the journey and challenge to respond to God’s call for each of them in preparing their families for the reception of these sacraments.
